Todd Plymire (17-14) of York PA defeated Mark Giddings (18-11) of West Sand Lake NY two games to none in the world series. It was Plymire’s first STAR Tournaments win.

Plymire defeated Harry Flawd three games to two in the semi-finals. Giddings defeated Gene Abood three games to none in the semi-finals.

Flawd (16-8) and Abood (14-10) won their divisions. Vic Horvath and Rich Bolster, the latter in his first STAR tournament, lost a tiebreaker to Plymire.
