Bill Meinhardt (22-11) of Arlington Heights IL defeated Paul Ferraro (17-16) of Pittsburgh PA four games to one in the world series. Meinhardt now has six lifetime Star Tournaments wins.

Meinhardt defeated Don Shults three games to one in the semi-finals. Ferraro defeated the tag team of Bill Fenlon & Dave Johnson three games to one in the other semi-final. Meinhardt and the tag team tied for first in the division at 15-9. Ferraro and Shults survived a 3-way shootout with Vic Horvath to advance.
