Bruce Layton, of Ithaca New York, (23-10) beat Mark Giddings, of Albany New York, (20-13) four games to one, to collect his eleventh STAR tournament win.

Layton beat Richie Wain, three games to one, in one semifinal, while Giddings beat Gordon Deane, three games to one, in the other. Deane made the semifinals in only his second STAR tournament. To do so, he first won shootouts from John Perez & Paul Brownlee.
