Gene Abood (21-13) of South Plainfield NJ defeated Eric Wayne (19-15) of Southfield MI four games to one in the world series. This is Abood’s second Star Tournaments win.

Abood defeated Don Shults three games to two in one semifinal; Wayne defeated Ben Leong three games to two in the other. Abood (14-10) and Wayne (15-9) won their respective divisions
