Hank Smith (25-15) of Torrance CA defeated Sean Oakley (21-19) of Las Vegas NV four games to three in the World Series. It was Smith’s eighth STAR Tournaments win.

Smith defeated Brian Veneski three games to two in one semi-final. Oakley defeated Gene Abood three games to two in the other semi-final.

Smith (18-10) won his division outright. Abood won a face-to-face tiebreaker from Wes Smith and Ed Daley. In the other division, Oakley & Veneski won the face-to-face tiebreaker at 15-13 from Mick Van Valkenberg, Pete Nelson & Patrick Ngo (in his first STAR tournament ever). Then, Oakley was awarded first in the division based on a D20 roll.
