Dave Suderman (23-13) of Bakersfield California defeated Dale Troyani (21-14) of Phoenix Arizona four games to three in the world series. This is Suderman's first ever Star Tournament win.

Suderman defeated Tom Anderson three games to two in the semi-finals. Troyani defeated Mick Van Valkenburg three games to one in the other semi-final.

Suderman (16-8) and Van Valkenburg (18-6) won their divisions.
