Bryan Albin (23-9) of Tustin CA defeated Steve Baldeaux (20-14) of La Mesa CA four games to one in the world series. It was Albin’s first STAR Tournaments win.

Albin defeated Gus Kiel three games to none in one semi-final. Baldeaux defeated James Kanell three games to two in the other semi-final.

Kanell (19-5), Albin (16-8) and Baldeaux (16-8) won their respective divisions. In shootouts, Tom Anderson defeated Ed Daley, and Marshall Palmer defeated Hank Smith, for second place in their divisions; then Anderson defeated Palmer, and Kiel Defeated Anderson, for the fourth playoff spot.
