Bruce Layton (21-12) of Ithaca NY defeated John Ciabattari (15-18) of Englewood NJ four games to none in the World Series. It was Layton’s fourteenth STAR Tournaments win.

Layton defeated Brian Smith three games to two in one semi-final. Ciabattari defeated Mark Giddings three games to two in the other semi-final. Ciabattari won a playoff game from Larry Gellar to advance.

Giddings (17-7) won the division.
