Steve DuFresne (24-8) of Nun’s Island, Quebec, defeated Jim LaBruno (20-14) of Eatontown NJ four games to one in the world series. It was DuFresne’s first STAR Tournaments win, in his first STAR Tournament appearance.

DuFresnes defeated Mark Giddings three games to none in one semi-final. LaBruno defeated Michel Gilbert three games to two in the other semi-final.

DuFresne (17-7) and Gilbert (14-8) won their respective divisions..
